With deep love and eternal gratitude, the family and friends of Late Mr. Benedict Kolapo Akinlolu, a retired Naval Officer and a devoted father, announce his peaceful transition and burial which took place on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, at his residence in Aberuagba Close, opposite CAC Church, opposite Adexson Ile Epo Bus Stop, Lasu-Igando Road, Lagos.
Born in 1959, Mr. Akinlolu lived a life marked by discipline, service, faith, and generosity. A proud veteran of the Nigerian Navy, he served his country with honor and integrity. Beyond his career, he was a pillar of strength to his family, a mentor to many, and a source of kindness in his community.
The final rites began with a solemn Wake Keep Service held on the evening of Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025, at his residence, where friends, neighbors, and loved ones gathered to share stories, songs, and memories of a man who touched countless lives.
On the morning of April 3rd, the atmosphere was filled with reverence and celebration of a life well lived. The burial service was conducted by The Redeemed Christian Church of God, whose ministers led the congregation in heartfelt prayers, worship, and words of comfort, reflecting the deep faith Mr. Akinlolu held throughout his life.
The family extends their sincere appreciation to everyone who stood by them in love, prayers, and presence during this time of remembrance. While his physical presence may be missed, the legacy of Late Mr. Benedict Kolapo Akinlolu lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
