Egiri Oke Elite Sisters Pay Congratulatory Visit to Elemure, Reaffirm Loyalty to Throne

In a vibrant display of tradition, unity, and community solidarity, members of the Egiri Oke Elite Sisters, a respected socio-cultural women’s group in Emure-Ekiti, on Saturday joined the growing list of well-wishers and stakeholders paying congratulatory visits to His Royal Majesty, Oba James Babatunde Ajiboye, Otutubiosun I, Ajigbotolu, the Elemure of Emure Kingdom.

The delegation, comprising prominent women leaders and professionals from the Egiri Oke axis of Emure, stormed the palace in graceful attires and radiant spirits, bringing greetings, goodwill, and prayers to the monarch in honour of his enduring leadership and commitment to the peace and progress of the kingdom.

Leading the delegation were distinguished members of the association including Mrs. Bola Adefemi, Chief Titi Oguntuase, Mrs. Joke Thompson, Mrs. Elizabeth Alaba, Mrs. Oye Ogundare, Miss Oloro, Mrs. Kolade, Mrs. Yinka Enitan, among others, all of whom expressed heartfelt admiration and gratitude for the monarch’s stabilising presence and developmental strides since his ascension to the throne.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Chief Titi Oguntuase noted that the visit was a symbolic reaffirmation of the group’s loyalty to the traditional institution and a celebration of Oba Ajiboye’s wisdom, humility, and unwavering commitment to upholding the cultural heritage of Emure Kingdom.

“Your Majesty, we are here to say a big congratulations and to express our pride in your reign. You have brought dignity and honour to this throne, and we are confident that under your leadership, Emure will continue to grow in peace, prosperity and unity,” Chief Oguntuase said.

She added that the Egiri Oke Elite Sisters are not only proud daughters of the soil, but also development partners committed to supporting community-building efforts in line with the palace’s vision.

In his response, Oba James Babatunde Ajiboye warmly welcomed the delegation and commended them for their continuous support, stating that the role of women in the preservation of culture, promotion of peace and social development cannot be overemphasised.

“Kabiyesi is most pleased to receive you,” the monarch said. “Your presence today further strengthens the bond between the palace and the great women of Emure. Women are the heart of every community and your prayers and support are pillars upon which we continue to build this kingdom.”

Oba Ajiboye encouraged the women to remain steadfast in promoting unity and moral values within their communities while urging them to mentor younger women in the values of hard work, respect for tradition and service to humanity.

The visit was marked by joyful traditional songs, presentation of symbolic gifts and group photographs within the palace grounds. The Egiri Oke Elite Sisters, known for their philanthropic initiatives and community outreach activities, also reiterated their intention to partner with the palace on programmes that support youth empowerment, market women, and education for the girl-child.

As the women took their leave, they offered royal prayers and blessings for the monarch, expressing their joy for being part of a historic moment and promising continued allegiance to the royal institution.

The visit by the Egiri Oke Elite Sisters adds to the growing wave of solidarity and goodwill shown towards Oba Ajiboye in recent times — a testament to his revered status and the deep affection he commands among all segments of the Emure community.
